Meet #1 at Dominion Valley

The first meet of the season is this weekend Saturday 6/7 at Dominion Valley.  Please see the welcome letter below from the Dominion Valley Sharks to find directions to the pool, pool layout, team seating area and much more.  Dominion Valley will not be selling meet programs at the meet, if you want a program print this meet program.

The Dominion Valley Sharks Welcome the Brookside Hurricanes this week!

Our pool is located on Arnold Palmer Drive, in Haymarket Virginia.  To get to our pool from Brookside, Rt. 29.  north to a left onto Route 15 North,  Go 4.5 miles to a left onto Dominion Valley Drive.  Make a left at the first traffic light, through the gate, onto Tournament Drive.  Our pool is on the immediate right.  We are looking forward to a great meet!   

All drivers will need to park in the Giant Parking lot across from the gated entry.  Instead of making the first left once on Dominion Valley Dr., make the first right.


The meet timeline is as follows:

6:10AM - 6:30AM - Sharks warm-ups

6:30AM - 6:50AM - Visiting team's warm-ups

6:30AM - Stroke and Turn Officials' meeting by scorer’s table

6:45AM - Timers' and Recorders' meeting near scorer’s table

6:50AM - Clear the pool.

              - Relays assemble in team areas and move to proper lanes to prepare for start of meet.

7:00AM - Start the meet; only racing swimmers, coaches, and working volunteers should be on deck.

Heat Sheets

Please ask your parents to bring heat sheets with them to the meet.  Heat sheets will not be available and will not be for sale.  Stoke & turn and referees will be provided copies of the heat sheet.


Dive-over Starts

NOTE: The Dominion Valley board and coaches has made the decision not to implement dive-over starts at our home meets.


Pool Layout Diagram/Team Setup

Please note, there is room for only a few tents inside the pool area, but others can be placed on the grassy areas outside of the pool. We have an 8 lane pool so each team is able to swim up to four entries per relay event.
