Great Home Meet!

Swimmers & Families,

Coach Holly:  I want to say good job to all of the many parent volunteers who made the meet this weekend a success.  The Lake Linganore coach approached me after the meet to say that they really enjoyed swimming against our team.   I believe the positive, helpful attitude of our parents and the friendly competition with our swimmers contributed to the goodwill between teams.  We lost by a mere 11 points!!  I think that shows that every single swim is important to the team.   Thank you all for your hard work!  And Happy Birthday to Coach Kameryn!

Coach  Casey:  I was blown out of the water by the swimming today.  I knew I would see some good swims, but there were so many great swims!  I saw a lot of swimmers really taking long strokes and breathing with their ear in the water.  Great job!  I want to include a thank you to all parents and families that volunteered to help make our home meet run smoothly.

Coach Kameryn:  I am so proud of all my young swimmers today.  We had so many swimmers drop time and even step up to try events they have never done before.  I’m looking forward to another fun and exciting week!

Coach Eric:  Way to go today!  So many of you guys SHATTERED old times and are improving tremendously.  What a good meet.  I am very proud of all of the hard work everybody put in.

Coach Oksana:  What a great second meet!  Everyone improved so much and everyone was so excited!  I can’t wait to see everyone improve even more next meet!  Congrats everyone!

Coach Kia:  What a great meet!  Almost everyone dropped time and we had a lot of All-Star qualifiers.  I’m so proud of everyone and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s going to happen next meet!

Coach Raegan:  Congrats to everybody today!  I loved how much enthusiasm everyone showed!  Great job to everyone who dropped time and made All-Stars.  I can’t wait to see how much people improve again in the meets to come!

The upcoming week is going to be special.  Because the 4th of July is Friday, we are going to celebrate Freedom Week.   Every  day, Monday through Thursday (no practice Friday) we will be having stations where swimmers are free to choose what they would like to work on.  There will be things like diving and flip turn stations.   Happy  Freedom Week!

On Thursday morning, July 3, we will be meeting at the Holiday Cinemas at 10am to see “Kung Fu Panda 2”.  Cost is only $1.  There are also Kids Paks with popcorn, drink & candy available for $3.75.  This should be a lot of fun for less than $5!  Parents can pick up swimmers at 11:45.  Any 12-older swimmers who wish to attend may leave practice early  (9:45) on Thursday.  This is not an official team event, but I hope you all can join us!

Have a Happy Independence Day!  Go Barracudas!
