Evergreen swimmers score points at the Western Zone Championships


Congratulations to Evergreen Swim Club members Hannah Barker,  Annika Eisele, Everett Werner, and Alex Wright who finished competing at the Western Zone Championship meet this past weekend at the King County Aquatic Center.  Our swimmers competed against swimmers from seventeen LSC's.  Pacific Northwest Swimming finished second overall in the team competition.  As a comparison, add our PNS champs together, multiply it by seventeen along with team skits, lots of team cheers, team pranks, the fastest swimmers in the nation and then you have the Western Zone Championships!  What an amazing meet and our ESC swimmers competed HARD!!!!

Hannah Barker scored team points finishing 10th in the 200 Back, 13th in the 800 Free, 15th in the 100 Back, 16th in the 400 free, 10th in the 1500 Free.  Hannah also competed in a 400 Free Relay(9th), 400 Medley Relay (11th) and 200 Medley Relay(12th).

Annika Eisele swam to a 9th place finish in her 50 Fly and a 12th place finish in her 100 Fly.  Annika also competed in the 200 Free Relay(7th), 400 Medley Relay(5th), and the 200 Medley Relay(8th).

Everett Werner earned a 7th place finish in the 800 Free, 7th in the 200 Back, 15th in the 400 IM, 10th in the 400 Free, 6th in the 1500 Free, and 7th in the 200 Fly.  Everett also swam on the 400 Medley Relay(2nd) and the 200 Medley Relay(7th).

Alex Wright rounded out the team finishing 1st in the 800 Free, 1st in the 400 Free, 1st in the 800 Free, 5th in the 200 back, 3rd in the 100 back and 2nd in the 200 Fly.  Alex also competed in the 400 Free Relay(10th), 200 Free Relay(10th), 400 Medley Relay(2nd), and the 200 Medley Relay (2nd).

Great job to all of our swimmers who did a wonderful job representing Evergreen at the Zone meet.  Now you can enjoy your summer vacation!!!
