Swimmers in the Spotlight Announced for September.  Please visit our website and click on the box titled “Swimmers in the Spotlight” to read about or most recent selections.  Congratulations to the following outstanding athletes for their commitment to the team and their performance in practice: Hayden Mortenson, Amy Maxwell, Nicholas Burdick, Deividas Rynkevic, Baya Kim, Sienna Kim, and Jordan Metafaria.  You can see their picture and the write up their coaches did on the team website.

Team Storage/Office Unit has arrived.  Although it is still not operable, or inhabitable, the team storage/office unit has arrived and is on location at Ventura Aquatic Center.  Eventually, this unit will serve as coach and admin office, meeting room, storage, team communication room, and much more.  It has been a long arduous process to obtain permission and have delivery of the unit, but once it is up and running, it will allow the team to operate in a more efficient and professional manner.  Thanks to all of those members who assisted with the procurement of this unit!

Three Ventura County Masters (VCM) Swimmers Complete Channel Crossing from Catalina Island to the Mainland.  Always achieving incredible feats, our masters swimmers continue to provide excellent examples of persistence and dedication to our younger age group swimmers.  A hearty congratulations are in order for our friends and teammates, Aubrie Smallwood, Tom Ball, and John Chung who completed a tandem solo crossing of 20+ miles from Catalina to the mainland this past Friday.  Congratulations and good job swimmers.
