December 14, 2014
This will be the last weekly news for the calendar year 2014. I hope everyone has had a great first half of the year and is looking forward to the second semester. I know that everyone has a well deserved break coming up, but no matter where you go or what you do, try to keep a toe in the pool if you can. All you have to do is swim twice a week to maintain your swim fitness level. It would be sad to come back in January and have to catch back to far. But no matter what, remember to have fun and recharge your batteries. BISAC, IASAS and Splash 2015 are just a few things waiting for us next year!
Registration will open up January 12th and will stay open until January 23rd.
Tuesday and Thursday morning practices: are temporarily on hold for the last 3 weeks of this semester and will start up again in January.
Last day of practice: December 18th is the last day of practice at the same times as always.
Winter Break Training:
Sign up using this Google doc.
Sign ups will close this Wednesday. If you are not signed up at this point you will not be able to train. As said earlier, coaching numbers are set up based on these sign ups. If more people show up than who signed up then our coach to swimmer ratio will not be appropriate or even safe if 8 and under swimmers are involved.
Meet signups available:
Thailand National Qualifying Meet: Martin’s Cup (Feb 13-15)
Interested swimmers must contact Coach Golf/Nuk before break if possible. This is a Thailand National Championships Qualifying meet. If you are not interested in competiting at the Thailand National Championships, then this meet is not what you are looking for. If you have more questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact me.
ISB Splash 2015 (March 7&8)
This is our International meet and is mandatory for all swimmers. The sign up is open on our website, so sign up sooner than later.
Second Semester Travel Meet Questionnaire (last weeks email):
Please fill out if you have any interest in travelling next semester to an away meet. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1xSB4KquBlqHCmeClImkXD-V6J87ngBUAjXbGWHcW1hM/viewform?usp=send_form
That is all for now, see you on deck this week and have a happy safe holiday over the coming weeks!
