MSC Meet Volunteer Recap

Below are start times for all volunteer positions as well as a recap of the assignment and meeting locations.

SAMS CLUB RUN -  meet Ellen Spokes at the Cockeysville Sam's Club entrance at 12:00pm on Friday.  Supplies should be brought to Loyola starting at 5pm during our practice to unload at the Concession area.

SUPPLY RUNNERS (from Gilman to Loyola and back again)– please meet during practice time on Thursday starting at 6:00pm (see Ellen Spokes or Shirali Patel) to load up cars, cars should arrive at Loyola during Friday practice (5-7pm) to unload at the Concession area.  Supplies will them be loaded into cars on Sunday after meet and brought back to Gilman on Monday during regular practice time.  Thanks to all who have volunteered.

TIMERS– please arrive BEFORE the timers meeting starts.  Morning Timers meeting is set for 7:25am, Afternoon is 1:25pm.  Timers will meet in the glass office off of the long main hallway - pass the front desk and half way on the left of the long hallway is a glass office.  You will get a deck badge when you arrive for the timers meeting, please see Tracy Godey or Michelle Cerny.  It is warm on the pool deck so wear layers and be prepared for your feet to get wet, please dress accordingly. 

ANNOUNCER– please be prompt, for morning sessions, please be at Loyola no later than 7:30am.  For afternoon sessions, please be at Loyola no later than 1:30pm.  Please see Tracy or Michelle when you arrive.

SAFETY MONITORS– please be prompt, your job is to ensure that all swimmers and spectators follow not only USA Swimming Meet safety rules but those of the Loyola Aquatic Facility.  You will receive a Safety Vest and Badge when you arrive, please find Lee Roby she will give you your assignments for the session and go over protocol.  You should arrive  for Morning sessions no later than 6:50am and for Afternoon no later than 12:50pm

LOCKER ROOM MONITORS– please be prompt, your job is to ensure that no unauthorized parents come on deck.  Only Swimmers, Officials, Loyola Staff, and Volunteers with STAFF Badges are allowed on deck. There will be a chair designated for you on the pool deck outside of the locker rooms.  You will receive a Safety Vest and Badge when you arrive, please find Lee Roby.  You should be in place for Morning sessions no later than 6:30am and for Afternoon no later than 12:30pm.  Periodically throughout the meet, you should check the locker rooms to make sure the swimmers are not acting inappropriately.

PARKING– please be prompt, your job is to help with parking logistics, which are:  Drop offs for 12 and unders are not allowed. Because drop offs are not permitted, all cars will be directed to the back of the main parking lot upon. Under a parent’s discretion, children may walk up the sidewalk from the back of the main lot whether the parent is parking or not. On a first come, first served basis, general parking is available in tiers 3-6 of the main Aquatic Center lot.  Cars can also park on Charles Street, adhering to city signage. Parking is not allowed on Wyndhurst Avenue – cars will be ticketed, cars are also not allowed to enter the Loyola facility through the Wyndhurst entrance. There will be 16 spaces reserved for handicapped parking is in tier 1 of the main FAC lot (blue government issued placard is required).  Reserved meet officials parking is available in tier 2, with parking pass. You will receive a Safety Vest when you arrive, please see Lee Roby.  You should arrive for Morning sessions by 6:15am and for afternoon by12:15pm.  Please dress warmly!!

CONCESSIONS– please be prompt, your job is to feed the masses!!  For morning sessions, please be at Loyola no later than 6:15am, for afternoon sessions please be at Loyola no later than 12:15pm in order to be in place once swimmers and their families start to arrive.  We would like to avoid having younger children in the concession area “working”; we are limiting concession workers to anyone 13 and older.
