UPCOMING EVENTS FOR PTAC

For planning purposes, please make note of the following dates for upcoming events for PTAC:

Wednesday, February 25, 2015 we will be hosting our annual Swim-A-Thon fundraiser.  More information regarding the Swim-A-Thon and distribution of solicitation packets will be announced shortly as we are waiting for our paperwork and supplies to arrive from USA Swimming.

The Swim-A-Thon fundraiser is an annual mandatory fundraiser that PTAC hosts each Fall/Winter season, typically in November.  Due to the lottery ticket fundraiser which took place in November, we opted to have our Swim-A-Thon take place later in the season and also to add a  'break from the norm" during the long, cold winter.

Each family is required to either solicit sponsors for their swimmer(s) either per lap, per hour, or for a flat fee.  The maximum duration of the Swim-A-Thon is 2 hours/200 laps.  You may also opt for the $25.00 per family buyout.  High school swimmers are not required to participate in this fundraiser.

Saturday, March 28, 2015 will be the date of the Chestnut Ridge Dual League Winter Championship meet.  The meet is being hosted this year by Greater Latrobe Aqua Club and more information will be provided as soon as it becomes available from GLAC.  As a reminder, all swimmers who participated with PTAC for the entire 2014-2015 Fall/Winter season (September through March) must have participated in 5 dual meets in order to qualify for the champs meet.  Those swimmers who were members for only the second half of the season (January through March), will need to have participated in 2 dual meets in order to qualify.  More information regarding the champs meet will be provided as soon as it becomes available from the host team.

Monday, March 30, 2015 will be the date of our End of Season Banquet.  The banquet this year will take place in the Penn Trafford High School cafeteria from 6-8 p.m...  The banquet will be a catered event and all PTAC swimmers and their immediate family members are invited to attend (parents and siblings).  All PTAC swimmers will be paid for by the club.  Parents and siblings will pay a separate charge.  More details regarding the banquet will be provided in the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing all of our team members at the upcoming events as we work towards the close of another successful swim season!
