Weekly News (Feb 2-8)

Hello Panthers,

The pool seems pretty empty these days with our HS swimmers resting and our MS swimmers on field trips. Then there is the ES musical to add to the sounds of crickets…the good news for those still here, more coaching time for you. Please remember that is you are not attending your regular training sessions, it becomes very difficult to improve. Success comes from putting in the hard work!

Important Notes:

Lap it up shirts:

We will collect Monday-Wednesday. For new swimmers 10 and under they will receive their new shirts this week.

Palooza Report:

Great to see 140 swimmers out trying to set Personal Best’s or better their previous ones. Coaches report many good swims for their squads and they say they look ready for the upcoming Splash Meet.

Schedule Changes:

Morning Practices: Will be run now one a sign up basis. We have had many practices with one or no swimmers attending. So swimmers must email me on Monday if they will be attending Tuesday and Thursday sessions. We will need 4 or more to have a coach attend. Please note that there are lifeguards on duty and less swimmers will be allowed to swim without a coach. Coach Gai and I love these mornings so I hope there are many emails.

IASAS Championships:

HS swimmers swam amazingly all 3 days. Many medals were earned, including gold from Om, Anders and Sidney (4). Sidney also won the Top Fina Swim Award given to the male and female with the fastest swim based on World Wide Fina points.
