Departure of Long Time Coach, Amy Brugh

Parents,

I have already pre-informed our Adventurer parents, but I do want to let our entire team know that this will be Amy Brugh's last week with the Mariner Swim Club.  Her last day of working with the swimmers will be Thursday, March 12th.  We were originally going to say goodbye on Sunday, March 15th, but with the pool closing this weekend we have to accelerate the timeline.  I apologize for any rush on this e-mail.

Coach Amy approached me in October requesting that this be the last season that she works with the Mariner Swim club.  After her strong devotion to the Mariner Swim Club as a caoch for 8 years and a swimmer for many years before that, we thank Amy for her commitment to the team and wish her the best in her future pursuits.

Coach Amy says that she will miss all of her (Level 1) Adventurers and the rigorous training of our 8& under developmental group.  She plans to begin focusing more intensely on her communications and teaching job at Mercy High School.

We will have a good-bye reception following practice on Thursday, March 12th starting at 7:15pm.  There will be snacks and drinks offered to everyone attending.  Please feel free to have swimmers make a card or a poster for Amy as a farwell.

Thank you.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Amy, you will be truly missed.

-Coach Clarke, Coach Carl, Coach Lenore, Coach Sara, and Coach Joe.
