Weekly News (March 16-22)

Hello Panthers,

Hope everyone enjoyed their extended weekend after getting marvelous updates from your swimmers teachers during the student led conferences.

I would like to take this time to make sure we are all aware the dangers of dehydration during this time of year. Even though we are training in H2O, we are still losing a lot of our bodies water and it needs to be replenished. The coaches will take water breaks, but I notice that not all swimmers have water bottles. Can we make sure the swimmers have these at practice; we will take care of the rest! That goes for you parents in the bleachers too…keep drinking that water!

Important Notes:

BISAC Championships (Bangkok International School Athletic Conference)

March 28 (Junior 10&under) March 29 (Senior 11& over)

This is a select team championship. Each team is allowed to swim their top 3 swimmers in each event.

The teams have been announced and are training hard so that they may represent our team to the best of their ability.

Panther Swim-a-thon: April 22 “Earth Day”

Coaches will be passing out pledge forms for our annual swim-a-thon later this week. We are in the process of sorting out a new charity to work with and will do so before the event.

The swim-a-thon will be an after school event, starting with Junior swimmers at 2:30 and then Senior Swimmers at 3:30.

The concept is that swimmers will get pledges per lap (or lump some) and swim as many laps as possible in the allotted time. There will be individual prizes for top fund raisers and for most laps swum.

Please mark this on you calendar and make sure your child swims on this day regardless of their training day. This is a great day to celebrate with the team and rasie money for someone less fortunate than ourselves.

Schedule Changes:

No changes in the next two weeks

Lap it up t-shirts and Splash ribbons/medals:

These can be found in the swimmer folders on Thursday.

That is all for now, see you on deck!
