2015 Speedo Central Zone Section 3 LCM Spring Championships Recap

Congratulations to the 2015 KAW Sectional participants who traveled to Indianapolis, IN and proudly represented our Club at the 2015 Speedo Central Zone Section 3 Long Course Meter Spring Championships!

The Speedo Championship Series displays some of the top swimming talent from across the United States.  Each meet is filled with exciting moments and unforgettable accomplishments.

Our own Camden Murphy provided the spectators a captivating swim in the 100M Butterfly.  During the prelims session, at only 15 years old, Camden placed 1st with a time of 54.97s.  The excitement wasn’t over yet.  During the Finals session, Camden swam a blistering 54.46s, dropped -1.39s from his best time, and earned his first Olympic Trial cut! He placed 2nd, edged out of 1st by only 0.12s from a competitor 10 years his senior!

Congratulations Camden…

KAW would also like to recognize ALL Sectional participants for a job well done!  It was a long (4) days of prelims and finals, especially coming off of High School and MI Swimming State Championship Meets.  Switching from SCY to LCM in 1-2 weeks is no easy accomplishment.  However, many swimmers turned in best LCM times and got an early look into the LCM season.
