Touch the Wall Documentary.  We have secured the date for the “Touch the Wall Documentary” and it is scheduled for Saturday, April 18th at 12:00pm. The event will be hosted at the Downtown Century 10 Theater.  The deadline to purchase a ticket is April 11th at noon, but don’t procrastinate, it could sell out before that!  You can purchase your ticket at the following link:

We are also having a Pizza Man Dan’s Fundraiser Lunch just before the movie so kids do not fill up on popcorn and candy.  A flyer will be sent to each family who is free to present it at any Pizza Man Dan’s location on Saturday, April 18th anytime during business hours (of course we hope lots of people attend the Downtown location, before the movie together!)

Buena Long Course Opener.  The deadline to register for our first long course meet of the season is on Monday, April 13th.  Even if you have already registered, please review your entries and be sure that each individual event has a red check mark next to it, showing it has been approved.  Also, the job sign up is posted and available for you to select a volunteer job that goes toward your 30 required hours per year.

Annual Recognition Pins. The annual recognition pins that we usually hand out at the banquet have finally arrived.  Coaches will have them on deck over the next few weeks, please remember to pick up your pin.  Every member receives a recognition pin!

Goodbye Jeremy.  It is with sadness that we must say goodbye to one of our coaches.  Coach Jeremy has been with us for two years and has given us tons of energy, devotion, and passion.  He clearly loves working with the swimmers on our team, but with the recent birth of his daughter, he needs to move on. Please take a moment to wish Coach Jeremy well in his new endeavors as he will be around for the next two weeks.  In the meantime, we are working hard to find new coaches.

Jim McConica breaks three World Records. Once again, one of our best master’s swimmers has risen to the occasion by breaking three master’s world records!  Jim McConica traveled to Canada to make his mark at the Ontario Provincial Championships.  Please take a moment to read the Swimming World Magazine article on Jim and his recent accomplishments.    http://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/news/jim-mcconica-employs-negative-split-strategy-to-break-three-masters-world-records/

Have a great week!
