We are excited to announce that Merik Smith has decided to attend Portland St University in Oregon in the Fall where he will study Economics.  Merik will continue to swim with AZAC through the summer.  Merik has made dramatic improvements over the past three years and has worked extremely hard.  He has grown into a fine young man and we are proud of him and his decision. He had multiple options to swim in college and decided on Portland St as it was the best fit for him and his family.  Although Portand St. does not have a men's swim team, Merik will be actively involved in activities at his University and is dedicated to continuing his training through the summer.
