Good Job, Barracudas!

Swimmers & Families,

Coach Holly: I am so pleased with the efforts everyone put forward yesterday!  The parents all worked together to stage a great  meet, and the swimmers swam so impressively considering how few practices we have had!  I was especially proud of our new swimmers - some chose difficult events to swim even though it was their first meet.  Good job, everyone!  And THANK YOU parent volunteers!

Coach Kam:  That was an amazing first meet!  I am very proud of how everyone did, especially all of our new swimmers.  I’m so excited to see how everyone improves in the weeks to come.  Great jobs  everyone!

Coach Raegan:  Thank you to everyone for making this an amazing first meet!  I’m so proud of everyone for all of their accomplishments!  I can’t wait to see how we will improve within the next few weeks.  Fantastic job to everyone!

Coach Reilly: Everyone did great at the meet!  I saw lits of good times!  I was realy impressed with everyone’s starts.  You guys looked awesome!

Coach Emma:  This was truly an amazing first meet.  I was impressed with everyone’s times and their starts.  I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season!  Good job!

Coach Robby:  What a fantastic first meet.  All the swimmers tried their best and it really showed.  The sky’s the limit for these swimmers.  Great meet!

All-Star Meet  At the end of the season there is a swim meet for all of the swimmers throughout  the league who swim a qualifying time standard.  The standards are pretty tough, so it’s exciting when our swimmers make the time.  This past weekend, these swimmers earned All-Star times:

Josh Baird - 50 & 100 Free, 50 Breast, 100 IM

Lizzie Brown – 50 Breast

Campbell Caldwell – 50 Fly

Raegan Corcoran – 50 Breast

Thomas Hartinger - 50 Free, 50 Back, 50 Fly, 100 IM

Hayden Holt – 25 Free, 25 Breast

Jack Kosch – 25 Back, 50 Free

Max Kosch – 50 Breast, 50 Back, 100 Free

Congratulations, swimmers!

PRACTICE NEWS  Next week is our first full week at the Braddock pool.  We will be having daily practices in the morning, and Monday through Wednesday, we offer evening practices from 8:15 – 9pm. The morning practices are the ones swimmers should attend, but if you are in a camp during the week and can’t come to the am practices, please attend at night.  Also, if you would like a little extra practice, you are welcome to attend.  It will be the same workout as the morning, only shorter.  Please don’t use this as your only practice unless you must, but it can be in addition to your morning practice if you’d like.  Please let me know at least an hour IN ADVANCE if you will attend at night so I can make sure we have adequate coaching coverage.  Just pop me an email at [email protected]

At all practices, parents are welcome to watch in the area between the guard office and the plexiglass wall in the shallow end of the pool.   If you need to speak to a coach or your swimmer, please do it before practice or wait until practice is over, unless it’s an emergency.

Tuesday at noon is the deadline to sign up for our next meet.

This Friday is a Full Team Fun Friday from 8 – 10am.  We will take Team Pictures, so wear your team suit and arrive promptly at 8:00am.   A picture order form will be available online.  We will take team pictures, then individual pictures, then play swimming games and have donuts.  It will be a lot of fun.

Go Barracudas!
