Home Meet v Whittier Info

 Swimmers & families,

Tomorrow is our swim meet vs Whittier at the Middletown High School pool.  We are the hosts, so volunteers to help setup and clean up after the meet are critical to making this run smoothly.  We greatly appreciate everyone's assistance.

*  The meet is at Middletown High School.  Heavy rain is in our forecast, so bring umbrellas or raingear.  The meet will go on as planned if it's raining.  If it thunderstorms, the meet may be delayed or called.

*   Please arrive by 6:55am (unless you are scheduled to arrive earlier for meet setup).

*   Before doing anything else, pleasehave your swimmers check in with the coaches and   sign-in volunteers as soon as you arrive so we know they are there.

*  Warm-ups are 7:05-7:25.  We warm up first as the home team, so if you arrive later than this you will not be able to warmup.  Please be on time.

*   Swimmers should wear their team suit or a solid blue or black suit.  Please, no suits for other teams  (High School, MAC or FAST).   If you don’t have a suit, they are available for sale at Pools, Patios & Porches.

*  A limited number of swim caps will be available from Michelle Baird at the meet.  Silicone caps are $10, and latex caps are $3 (free for new families).  We would like kids to wear caps, but it isn’t mandatory.

*   It is optional for swimmers to use the starting blocks.

*  S&T officials meeting will be at 7:30 near the starter system.

* Timers meeting will be at 7:40 near the starter system.

*  National Anthem at 7:55.

*  The meet will start at 8:00, and will be finished (generally) around noon.

*  There is limited bleacher seating inside the building for spectators to watch events. Even in the event of rain, the primary seating area will be the grassy field just outside of the main door to the pool.  You may bring canopies and folding chairs for your family to set up in the Braddock area.

*  Everyone is limited to the pool and locker room areas.  No one is allowed in other areas of the school.

*   We ask everyone’s help in making sure the grounds are clean when we leave.

*   Don’t forget your goggles and umbrellas, and good luck Barracudas!

Go Barracudas!
