Michigan Swimming places 8th out of the 14 LSC team's at the Central Zone Open Water Meet. This is an amazing result given that Michigan brought the least number of swimmers. The contingent was only 4 swimmers strong and they did an excellent job with Andrew (AJ) Robertson winning the boys 10 & Under event, Jacob Hart winning the 13-14 Boys event. Caroline Nadeau placed 16th in the 13-14 girls. In the Open event, the most competitive, Kelsey Gilbert placed 19th. Assistant Coach Miller was impressed with the effort of the entire team. She also attended the Open Water Clinic the night before the race and suggested it for next year for all the swimmers next year. Head coach McBratnie is hoping we can continue the trend of being 4 times as many swimmers to the open water meet as we did this year. Way to go Team Michigan!!!
