2015 Snake River Awards

The winners of all of the Snake River Swimming Awards were announced at the Summer Championships held at the Boise West Y on July 17-18-19. Time was taken before the Sunday preliminary session to recognize the people who guide our sport, who volunteer in the sport and to recognize the swimmers who excelled in the pool and the class room.

The Volunteer of the Year Award went to Denise Thompson of Idaho Falls, the  Daniel Dewey Award was given to Vanessa Wong & Jake Stanislao for their volunteer work as swimmers. The Outstanding Swimmers of the Year were Abby Erwin and Jackson Cunningham both from the Boise Y Swim Team. The Coach of the Year was chosen by the Snake River coaches and it was awarded to Coach Lucy McLaughlin of Streamliner Aquatics.

The All-Academic Awards were given to recognize the 84 Snake River registered swimmers who were out of ninth grade, maintained a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and competed in at least three Snake River competitions. Click here to see the 2015 Academic Award Recipients
