Scrip Program

Hey Coog Families – It’s time for SCRIP!!   Not too early to start thinking about the holidays!  It would be FANTASTIC if every family could make at least one SCRIP purchase!  Holiday gifts?  Electronics?  Home Improvements?  Travel?  Food?  Teacher gifts?  Office gifts?

Sooo many opportunities !  All it takes is a little pre planning!

SCRIP is a wonderful and EASY program that doesn’t cost you a cent!  You simply purchase gift cards at face value for your favorite stores and restaurants and our team gets a percentage of your purchase.   It’s that easy!!  You will be amazed at the long list of SCRIP participants. A few examples:

Whole Foods Market -   3%                 Cracker Barrel  -  9%

Macy’s -   10%                                     Crate and Barrel -  8%

Barnes & Noble – 9%                          Einstein Bros Bagels -  10%

Best Buy -  3%                                     Home Depot -  4%

And hundreds of others… Including gas, groceries and MORE!!

Just go to and set up your account.  Our team’s enrollment code is 35698CF739461

Place your order online, and either pay with PRESTO PAY, or send a check (made out to the team) to practice with your swimmer.

A few reminders:  I will be placing the team order on the last day of each month. One email will be sent around the 20th, and then a reminder for any last minute orders!  If you opt to pay online (with PRESTO PAY) many e cards and refills can be available to you immediately.  Actual gift cards will be mailed to me, and coach will distribute at practice.  Go online and check out your 2 payment options!!

How Scrip Works

Good news: It’s really simple!

The Basics of a Scrip Program
  • Your members buy retail gift cards through your scrip program at face value.
  • They choose from nearly 400 national retail stores where they already shop. Click  here for a full list.
  • Your organization buys the gift cards at 1-13% less than face value (varies by retailer).
  • The difference between face value and what your organization pays = your organization’s earnings.
  • Your fundraising has begun!

Here’s an Example

Mrs. Smith needs some gardening supplies, so she buys a $100 The Home Depot® gift card for $100 through her son’s school scrip fundraiser. Cha-ching! She just earned $4 for the school because The Home Depot gift cards are available from Great Lakes Scrip Center at 4% less than face value. When Mrs. Smith checks out at The Home Depot, she pays with her The Home Depot gift card instead of using a credit or debit card!  She will do the same thing when she needs cleaning supplies at Target®, and earn $2.50 just by using a $100 Target GiftCard to pay for her purchases.
