Weekly News (Nov 2nd to 8th)

Hello Panthers,

2 weeks and counting to the largest school meet ever in Thailand. Khun Sanit our 20-year-plus FINA official says that he only remembers one meet bigger and it was a Thailand Open National event, certainly not an international school meet. So let’s do our best, in and out of the pool, to be the best hosts possible and work hard to keep that trophy on our shelf. Patana school has already registered 160 swimmers, so they are serious about keeping the title.

We have so many big things happening in the next couple weeks, but one of the biggest news stories to hit our team is that we have now acquired a new team Sponsor. We have just signed a deal with TYR Swim Company. This deal has the company giving each one of our swimmers a new race suit for this season! Wow, see details below for sizing days (URGENT).

Important Notes:

Swim-a-thon:

What a great day we all had last week! I am completely amazed at the distances our swimmers completed in that amount of time. Our funds are still rolling in, but so far we are pushing up on 100,000 baht so Second Chance Bangkok will be thrilled at the help we are giving them. We will donate the total amount at the opening ceremonies for Swimfest!

Our award winners for most distance swum went to the following swimmers:

8&under: Sophia, Zoe, Keshi and Peak

9&10: Matts and Mariel

11&12: Sophie and Oscar

13&14: Caleb and Hannah

The most funds raised award will be announced next week after all pledges are turned in.

***Swim-a-thon or Charity Committee members wanted for next Season:

As a team, we are always looking for ways to give back and increase our team charily involvement. We are now looking for any parents that may be interested in being part of Charity Committee that overlooks and plan for next years Swim-a-thon. Please contact Jill Edison or Coach Day if you are interested.

URGENT: TYR Team Sponsorship: Swim Suit Sizing Days this week!
