Cody Miller sets 2 American Records as Indiana Swimmers shine at Duel in the Pool

Indiana’s Cody Miller set two American Records (200m breast 2:02.33), (100m breast in 56.43) to help lead  the USA squad to its seventh straight Mutual of Omaha’s Duel in the Pool win the weekend at the IU Natatorium..  Team USA topped Team Europe by a 132-80 advantage.

The crowd at the IU Natatorium cheered loudly for Team USA but it may have seemed as a home pool advantage for Cody Miller and Claire Adams.  In his post race interview after his second record, Miller smiled and commented that the NAT was his favorite pool.

Claire Adams (Carmel Swim Club) also scored points for Team USA taking third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 56:45 on Saturday as well as placing 4th in the 200 backstroke on Friday night.

Television coverage of the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool will air Saturday, Dec. 19 on Universal HD from 2-4 p.m. Eastern and NBC from 4-6 p.m. Eastern.  To find all post meet results and more information visit the USA Swimming website at: http://usaswimming.org/DesktopDefault.aspx?TabId=2559&Alias=Rainbow&Lang=en
