AGUA Takes Women's Title at Sectionals, Second Place Combined
Asphalt Green swimmers competed in Buffalo this past weekend at the North Regional Speedo Sectional Championship, coming away with the women's title as well as the second place overall team trophy.   The AGUA girls broke away from the competition on the third and fourth days of the meet by dominating the relays, with the 13-14 girls relay of  Sophia Zhang, Isabel Gormley, Luiza Silveira, and Charlotte Krevitt   smashing four Metro records.
CJ Hinckley kicked off the meet for AGUA by dropping over 20 seconds in his 1500 freestyle, securing his first Futures Championship time. Zhang kept the ball rolling by winning the 100 breaststroke, clocking a 1:11.53 to capture her first Senior National qualifying time. Krystal Lara also impressed, grabbing a new Junior National qualifying time in the 200 freestyle during preliminaries, swimming a time of 2:04.26.
The AGUA coaching staff could not be prouder of all our swimmers for their performances this past weekend, and look forward to a fun, fast summer!
