Dino Cup meet report - U. of Calgary April 16 & 17
Dino Cup April 16th and 17th
University Of Calgary Aquatics Centre - report from Coach Richard Galloway

The Dino Cup has become one of the swimming competitions the Glacier Bears attend each year. Hosted by the University of Calgary Swim Club it is one of the few swimming competitions that is for younger swimmers only. If you’re older than 10 then you’re out of luck. Under 10 and then there is some great competition to be had. Clubs from all over Alberta where there.

This year Avery, Sydney, Liam and Thomas G, Ava, Victoria, Zoe and Jayden, with their support teams headed off for Calgary. The standard of swimming was very high and some of the times from the winning swimmers were very quick indeed. All the Glacier Bears performed strongly and majority of their swims resulted in new best times. Thomas G in particular was impressive. He won Gold in the 10 year old boys 200 Individual Medley and Silver in the 200 Freestyle while taking over 30 seconds off his best time.

It was a great competition, the swimmers learned a lot, did well and most of all had fun.
