Petaluma LCM

 

           The Mendocino Coast Sea Dragons swim team competed in the first long course meet of the season, April 29-May 1, hosted by the Westside Aquaducks in Petaluma. Each Sea Dragon swam several personal best times in the 50 meter (Olympic size) pool, all placed well in individual events and several achieved new USA Swimming Motivational Time Standards.

            In the Girls 15-16, Natalie Baumgartner competed in three events and swam a personal best time in the 100M breaststroke (1:22.29) and took 3rd place (A) in the 100M freestyle (1:09.43).

            In the Boys 13-14, Mitchel Walker improved his time in all four events swum and achieved BB time standards in both the 200M IM (2:52.18), placing 5th (B), and 100M freestyle (1:09.70).

            In the Girls 13-14, Haley Hutchinson improved her time in all four events swum including a 1st place (A) and Junior Olympic time standard in the 200M IM (2:40.39) and a Far Western time standard in the 100M breaststroke (1:19.91).

            In the Girls 11-12, Alexi Huerta improved all eight events swum and achieved several new time standards including A times standards in the 50M breaststroke (40.74) with 2nd place (B), 100M freestyle (1:12.36) with 1st place (C) and 50M butterfly (35.07). Dylan Hutchinson improved her time in eight of nine events swum and achieved Junior Olympic time standards in the 200M backstroke (2:49.27) for 1st place (A) and 50M butterfly (33.45) and a Far Western time standard in the 50M breaststroke (38.45) for 1st place (A).
