Madras Meet Report

From Coach MJ

We had a fun group at the Madras meet with many good swims to report.

Diego has his first swim meet ever and had a B time in his 25 free - 19.3. He also swam the 50 breast with a google malfunction  and swam a nice 25 back. Molly swam 100% best times highlighted by a 10 second drop in her 100 fly.  Campbell swam the 200 fly and 200 back for the first time ever and dropped 3.8 seconds in her 100 free, for 100% best times.  Mallory swam best times in 3 out of 4 races highlighted by a 7 second drop in her 100 IM.  Allie swam 4 good races and was close to her best time in her 200 breast.

Amy raced well and a second in her 50 free and had small time drops in her 50 back and 50 breast.  Miyuki dropped 3 seconds in her 100 IM and improved her 50 back.  Michelle dropped 5.5 seconds in her 100 free and dropped a second in her 100 IM.  Jade dropped 1.7 seconds on her 100 free and shaved a bit off her best time in the 50 free.  Nadia had some good races and was close to best times in her 50 free and 100 breast.  Thea dropped 2 seconds in her 50 back and a second in her 200 IM.

Leah dropped 2.5 seconds in her 50 fly and swam well in her other races.  Nora had a 9 second drop in her 100 IM and took a few tenths of a second off her 50 fly.  She dealt well with google adversity in her 500 free.  Elijah dropped 2 seconds in his 50 back and Izaiah dropped 3.5 seconds in his 100 back and a second in his 50 back.  Jesse dropped 1.5 seconds in his 100 free and dropped a few tenths in his 100 breast and 100 IM.  Colin dropped 3 seconds on his 25 back.  Max dropped 1 second in his 100 IM and half a second in his 100 free.  Seth dropped 2 seconds in his 50 back and raced his first 100 free.  James dropped 2 seconds in his 50 back and Oliver swam a legal 50 back for the first time ever.

Coaches love it when we have a big group at meets.  Competing really helps the kids to get race practice which makes the daily swim practices make more sense.  Thanks so much for bringing your kids to the Madras meet!
