Coach update

Hello Hurricanes,

i hope all you dads out there had a great Father's Day.  I wanted to congratulate those that swam at Auburn this past weekend.  There were a lot of best times and great efforts across the team.  It taught us a great deal about what we need to work on in the coming weeks.  Congrats also go out to Will Beatty for a fine 3rd place in his age group at the callaway gardens sprint triathlon on Saturday.  Great job to all.

Many of you know already, but I will be out of town from June 22 until July 6 as my family and I are celebrating many things with a cuise to Norway.  In addition I will be participating in an iron distance triathlon in Galway, Ireland for which I have put in about a 100 miles in the pool, about 1500 on the bike and 100's of miles running over the last 3 months.  If anyone is interested in following go to the Challenge Galway website.  In my absence practices for senior, senior development and Ag12 will run as normal with a couple of modifications.  The modifications are these:

-Friday practice for this week and next for senior and SD will run at the CAC from 7-9:30

-AG 12 practice for Friday for this week and next will be at the CAC and run from 8-9:30.

Running practices while I'm gone for senior and ad will be Karen Waters from Columbus High, Anne Hannah Merrit from Brookstone and Kevin Sidor, a masters swimmer who swam collegiately at Auburn.

Running for the AG 12 group will be Coach Lauren, and coach Thomas.

Please give them the same courtesy and effort you give me at practice.  Do what the workouts I wrote to the best of your ability and great things can happen.

Make sure you sign up for our meet in a few weeks to swim or volunteer as its a great oppurtunity to swim fast in our home pool.  If you have event requests please let me know.

if you ha e any questions, comments, or concern let me know.

See you at the pool(in a few weeks),

Coach Dan
