Brunswick Meet Info

Swimmers & Families,

 

Our Meet this Saturday is at the Brunswick pool.  Here is what you need to know:

 - Please arrive no later than 7:10 am. Swimmers & voliunteers check in immediately.

 -  Our  warm up is from 7:25 - 7:40 a.m .

 - Braddock will set up between the pool house and the BHS track.  There is also space in the lower area where Brunswick sets up.

 -  Parking is available in the high school parking area, just beyond the medical center on the left. There is also no parking or unloading around the immediate pool area.

 - Timers may be standing on blocks in the baby pool...dress accordingly!

 - Clerk of Course Volunteers - while our team is warming up, please meet with Brunswick's clerk of course, Donna Hartzell, to go over the staging areas, etc.

 - This pool is only 5 feet at the start end and 3 feet at the shallow end. Deep diving is not allowed.  Only shallow dives are permitted.

 - Officials Meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the starter table

 - Timers Meeting: 7:40 a.m. at the starter table

 -  National Anthem: 7:55 a.m.

 - Meet starts at 8:00 a.m.

 - Parents are allowed on the deck when their swimmer is swimming. Otherwise, we ask that everyone stay in the grassy area off the pool deck. This will help us keep deck occupancy to the legally authorized numbers.

 - Brunswick will provide concession stand, 50/50 raffle, and programs.  

 - There is a Luau theme for the meet if you want to participate.

 - Please help clean up our team area after the meet, and pick up any trash.

 - Don't forget your goggles & sunscreen!

Directions:   101 Cummings Dr Brunswick MD 21716   Take 17 towards Brunswick/Burkittsville.  At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards Sheetz.  Take the 2nd exit of the next 3 roundabouts; you should be going straight on MD – 17.  Go straight through the light (you’ll now be on MD-464).  You’ll pass Roy Rogers, Southern States and Coach’s Deli. Go straight through the next light (you’ll now be on Cummings Dr).  The Pool will be on the left.
