Now that the Olympics are over and another school year and swim season is on our doorstep, our swimmers, parents, coaches and board are fired up to make this the best season yet. Our goal is to offer practices at both the FUMA and HealthNutz locations. Registration for practices at FUMA is available online now and we hope to have registration for the programs at HealthNutz shortly.
We are very excited to be able to offer all our new swimmers as well as our returning swimmers from our regular practice groups (white, red, purple, blue and senior) a unique opportunity to practice at the state of art competition facility at Fork Union Military Academy. There will be an open house at the FUMA aquatic facility on Friday September 2 from 5:30-6:00 pm. Practices at FUMA will start Tuesday September 6th.
Best off all, swimming at Fork Union also offers us opportunities to give back to the community by offering lessons to our youth and by getting involved with programs like Ben Hair Just Swim For Life and Special Olympics.
Stay tuned for an announcement about our new two day a week
Making Makos program at HealthNutz for swimmers who want to get in
shape and improve their swimming technique throughout the year. It
is open to children age four and over who can swim a length of the
pool on their own. Many summer swimmers will want to use this
program to stay in shape during the school year. Our goal is to
turn this into a four day a week program later this year so help us
spread the word about our exciting new program.
See you at the pool!
