We want to invite all parents to our Annual Meeting that will be held on Saturday, September 10th, immediately following our Navy and Gold Meet at the Aquatic Center. This is a very important meeting, as we will be electing new board members. Up for election this year are the positions listed below. All of these positions are for a TWO year term, with the exception of one position that needs to be filled until 9/2017.
- Vice President (new two year term) - Responsible for organizing and over-seeing all aspects of home swim meets. Arranges vendors and is responsible for organizing parent volunteers.
- Treasurer (new two year term) - Responsible for management of the financial affairs of the Hurricanes. Submits regular financial reports to the board and to the membership. Uses Quick Books to record and track team finances.
- Membership Director (new two year term) - Responsible for organizing and conducting recruitment efforts. Organizes orientation programs for new swimming families and oversees the annual registration process.
- Program Director (one year term until Sept. 2017) - Responsible for fund raising, program scheduling, annual awards banquet, annual membership meeting, and other special events not allocated to other officers.
Any member may be nominated for these positions. We will compile a list of all nominations, and votes will be cast at our Annual Meeting on September 10th.
