What's a Swimposium?

USA Swimming's Swimposium program is a one-day program providing educational presentations for clubs, officials, coaches, parents and athletes.
As part of the annual USA Swimming budget, resources are allocated to fund a maximum of 12 Swimposiums per year. Each Local Swimming Committee (LSC) is eligible for funding every three years.
USA Swimming’s Member Services Director works closely with the LSC to design an agenda that specifically addresses the needs of their membership while incorporating general information about USA Swimming’s programs, services and goals. Presenters address a variety of topics such as club leadership, parent education, athlete clinics, officiating and sports science. Theoretical as well as practical information is provided and the audience is encouraged to participate.

The NT Clinicians for our Swimposium will be Dave Thomas, Sport Development Consultant, Southern Zone; and Chris Plumb, Head Coach/CEO of Carmel Swim Club, Carmel Indiana.  The bios for these two gentlemen are attached.

Our US National Team athlete for the Swimposium is 2016 Olympian Jimmy Feigen.  Jimmy's bio is also attached.
