Weekly News (October 17-30)

Hello all Panthers,

At this time of great National mourning, the swim team would like to join ISB in offering our condolences to our host country. We will be continuing on our day-to-day training, although it will be with a heavy heart. Please take care of each other during this time.

Important Notes:

Swim-a-thon (October 20th) still on for a good cause:

This Thursday we will come together and swim for 2nd Chance Bangkok and all the good work they do there. There will be no post-swim celebration, but we will provide eats to refuel after all the hard work.

Please remember to bring a lap counter for yourself. Parents can do more than one person if per-organized that way.

October Break Training Sessions:

We will have training sessions at the 50m pool on October 25/27/29.

Training time will be 8:00am-9:00am.

Winter Swim Camp in Phuket almost full!

We have had a great response to this event and are looking at bringing almost our whole coaching staff. If we can get 20 more swimmers to participate, it will be full. I am trying to squeeze more hotel rooms out of the resort, so if you want to go, sign up and I will make sure there is room.

The more people, the better!

Perth Indian Ocean All Stars Challenge (April 15th & 16th):

If there is interest in this meet please let me know. We would like to have one travel meet in the spring. If we have no interest in Perth, I can enter us in another meet around the same time.

Currently ready for Commitment (please mark “decline” or “commit”)

  1. ISB SwimFest 2016 (November 12th & 13th)
  2. Swim-a-thon (October 20th)
  3. Winter Swim Camp Phuket (Jan 6th and 7th)
  4. Perth Indian Ocean All Stars Challenge

That is all for now, see you on deck!
