Weekly News (Nov 21-28)

Hello all Panthers,

Panthers just keep on rolling. After an amazing weekend at our own pool during Swimfest, the Panther Swim Team split up and became the visiting teams at Singapore American School (High School Team) and NIST (80, 14 and under swimmers). Both sets of swimmers were very successful. The 3rd place trophy from the NIST meet is now sitting in my office and the high school team won more than their fair share of races at IASAS exchange. Both the girls and boys teams are looking like strong contenders for the IASAS championships in February.

Important Notes:

Black and Gold Spirit Night this Friday Nov. 25th:

Our High School swimmers will be going head to head with Bangkok Patana’s squad at the 50m pool this week.  Swimming will start at 4:15pm on Friday. Come on out and cheer on your Varsity Squad.

Coach Day home for a week:

Many of you are aware that my father has been fighting cancer since the summer. Sadly, his health has taken a turn for the worse and I must fly home today to be with him in these last days. I will return next Tuesday. The coaches and I have met and we are all covered and ready for the swimmers on deck. Please feel free to contact me if you need to this week, but as always, you can communicate directly with your squad coach.

Reminder: Free Friday Training (or any other day) for the rest of the Semester:

On the heels of an amazing weekend of high level swims and tons of PBs, we are offering the chance to take your training up a notch. For the rest of this semester you can add one more training day. If you are looking for more “one to one” coaching time, Friday is your day.  Our squad numbers are always low on Friday.

Reminder: Jr. Panther Squad Expanding to all weekdays (now includes Friday):

Jr. Panther practices will now take place on Friday’s. For the rest of the semester you can add this to your practice schedule at no extra charge.

Next semester, the Jr. Panther program will continue on with the same swimming options as 8 and under, which of course includes Fridays.
