Head Coach Malwina Bukszowana

Friday
Amelia Ford was named a swimmer of the day on Friday. She made her qualifying time for AA BC in 200 Free finishing 13th in 200m Free final. That was the only individual final on Friday
Boys team 200 Medley relay finished 8th (Aidan Harvey, Thomas Bakica, Finn Johnson, Alex Petriw).

Saturday
Saturday swimmer of the day was Aidan Harvey. He broke WGB club record in 200m Back (2:26.32), qualifying for AA Championships and finished 13th. Aidan had a great 100 Free B final as well and was just few milliseconds away from breaking a minute and he finished 15th in his age group and is very close to his AA time now. Aidan also showed his very good team leading skills during this weekend, while helping all his teammates, no matter what age they were, being a great example for everybody with his readiness for every race, warm up, as well directions for the youngest about the details.

Hannah Kingscote finished 8th in 200m Backstroke improving her time by 4 seconds. She was faster in the morning than in the final and the morning time gave her qualifying standard for AAA BC Championships and now she is only 1 second away from her National time in this event.

On Saturday Amelia Ford finished 10th in 100 Free qualifying for BC AA Championships.

Emma Boyd placed 12th in 100m Freestyle and qualified for AA BC Championships.
WGB had more good swims in the morning, not only the finals were exiting.

Amelia Barrault swam her first AA time in 100m Breastroke. Her older friend Cassidy Cairns swam her best time in the same event and she is now only half a second off AA time. Unfortunately for both girls it was not enough to have a chance for a swim in the final.

Sunday
Very good performance had Emma Boyd. She improved her times significantly in every event and she looks very good in the water. Emma qualified for AA BC Championships in all sprint Freestyle events.
On Sunday Emma finished 3rd in 50 meter Freestyle A final and with her time she is only 6 milliseconds away from her first AAA BC time standard. She had a great meet, she was taking every advice, writing down her splits and what she needs to work on in the near future to swim even faster. She is very eager to be better, hungry for a success.

In 50m Free event we had another A final with Amelia Ford. She finished with her AA qualifying time and 6th place. Her second final on the last night was in 100m Back, and she finished it with AA time and 14th place.

Hannah Kingscote after winning swim off with her great breakouts made B final in 50m Free finishing 15th in her age group. She was also 7th in 100m Backstroke on the last night.

Thomas Bakica had a good swim meet. He swam faster than his best times in almost every event, paying attention to the details and improving his skills.

Zaidan Josh swam B final in 50m Freestyle and finished 11th in his age group.

Alex Petriw had a great meet as well, he improved his times in every event and on the last night finished 12th after a battle in B final in 50m Freestyle.

Brothers Finn and Ollie Johnson and Christopher Blakesley were doing very well this weekend. All of them were breaking their best times by a lot in every stroke and are very interested in every stroke correction.

An improvement had also Rebecca Koser, she works very hard in every practice and after almost a full year without any best time, she moved on again. Meghan Pennington is slowly back to almost full training after a knee injury that bothers her for many months now, but regardless, it was good to see a best time for Meghan. Brooklyn Massie is a hard working girl, she loves swimming and is always optimistic, but this time she was off her best times, but her Backstroke and Freestyle are technically good and she looks very graceful in the water.

Boys team 200m Medley relay finished 8th (Aidan Harvey, Thomas Bakica, Finn Johnson, Alex Petriw) and 200m Freestyle boys relay finished 7th (Thomas Bakica, Aidan Harvey, Josh Zaidan, Alex Petriw).
