Coach Park has over 5 years of experience playing the sport and 2 years of experience being the assistant coach to the Thomas Jefferson girl’s tennis team. From those experiences he has a variety of drills and games that will improve the player’s technique while keeping them interested. The main goal for Coach Park is to build new players that will enjoy the sport of tennis for years to come.

I have been involved with tennis almost as long as I can remember. I was a competitive player in high school and university, during which time I worked at the Spokane Racquet Club doing everything from court maintenance to racquet stringing. When I started my career in secondary education, coaching was something I naturally fell into. I have worked as a high school and junior high school coach for 10 years now, instructing boys and girls from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels on two continents. I moved to Federal Way just two years ago after working as a teacher and coach in Japan. Since that time, I have worked to develop the sport in our community as the head tennis coach for both the boys’ and girls’ programs at Federal Way High School.
As a coach, I emphasize the development of lifelong players through solid fundamentals and an appreciation for the etiquette of the sport. I am excited for the opportunity to help build the tennis program at Marine Hills, and hope that I can foster the same enthusiasm I have for tennis in our athletes.
