Meet #6 recap and weekly news

Our last regular season meet results have been posted.  We had some great swims and many time improvements which position our swimmers well heading into the divisional champonship.  This is it...Divisional week!  Please read on and be aware of all the different activities and volunteer opportunities available.

Spirit Night is the fan-favorite Pasta Night.  Jen Davis has lined up the chefs, but we need help serving the food and cleaning up after the final meals are served.  Please see Jen Davis and ask how you can help.  A huge thank you to Jen for leading this event!

This Saturday is the final, Divisional meet at Westridge, 12764 Quaterhorse Lane Woodbridge, VA 22192.  This meet will be attened by three teams, Brookside, Westridge and Lake Ridge, and will be much longer than a typical dual meet.  There are a few different requirements for volunteers at this meet - please sign up to volunteer when you decalre your swimmers. Please note that for the divisional meet, the coaches will pick each swimmer's events, so you will only declare that you will be attending, or decline if you can not make the meet.  The rules for divisionals require that each swimmer must have swum in at least two regular season meets and can only swim an event where they have a legal time this season.  So if your swimmer tried to swim the Butterfly all season but received a DQ every time, they unfortunately will not be able to swim Butterfly at Divisionlas.  Beacuse the meet is larger and the host has special obligations, the meet entries are due one day earlier.  Swimmers must be registered by Tuesday night.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE register your swimmers by Tuesday night!!!

Lastly, the 2017 season concludes with the annual Year End Banquet, which celebrates the team's successes with food, fun and awards.  The banquet begins at 4:00 at the pool. After food and swimming, we will move to the multipurpose court for the presentation of awards. Every family's help is required to clean up the pool deck prior to heading to the multipurpose court for awards, and cleaning up the multipurpose court and surrounding grounds after the award ceremony.

We look forward to seeing eveyone throughout this final week!
