No practice changes for this week, with the exclusion of Friday 6th, which is the day of the RED/SILVER Intrasquad meet. There will be not be a regularly scheduled Jr Elite,Sr/Sr elite practice offered that evening.
Did you know???? That if your athlete does not start replenishing nutrition within 45 minutes of a practice...they start to deplete muscle? Chocolate milk, or an energy drink like gatorade ,after practice, 6-8 ounces is enuf,( NOT 12oz Or 16oz) is a great start. Also bananas, a bagel or a handful of grapes is great too!!
Please make sure your swimmers bring water bottles. This is predominantly for the jr and sr groups! Especially for those who swim at the Easling Pool.
Entries for the intrasquad meet:
So far, we have 41 swimmers signed up for the meet!!! which is awesome!! We will close entries Wednesday the 4th at 9:00 pm. Please make sure you get your swimmers entered. Special all team relays will conclude this fun, energy packed event!
Please note that sign up for job signup for the meet is on the website now. This is your first chance to knock out some volunteer hours.
Potluck to follow meet!!
We are planning a potluck for after. Please bring food with thoughtful nutritive substance! Kids eat salad too!! We also plan to have a peanut free table & gluten free tables. Please make sure you note your ingredients! If your child has specific food allergies, please email me.
SCHEDULE FOR FRIDAY’S HOME MEET
Warmups: (kids will practice a little to get their bodies ready)
Sr. and Jr. groups will warm up promptly at 4:40-5:10.
Minis and Development will warmup at 5:15-5:45(Both senior groups will assist with this warmup)
UPCOMING Meet DATE change
The Pumpkin meet, which was, originally on the 14th is now on the 28th. Currently, I have no registration information for that meet. When I do, we will set up the tab in the meet info and send an email. This is for minis, devp, and jr groups specifically and some sr, with permission only.
