Junior Olympic Meet Moraga

The Winter Junior Olympics on Dec 2 & 3, goes down in the history books with more awards!

It is funny to think of how fast the season is rolling along. Just starting off this year seems like yesterday. I forget that in our training cycle we had a setback, with missing an important week of development. When the disaster of the fires dropped the transition week from technique to strength building was lost. A small bump for us, to remind everyone how blessed we are today!

Karis was the rookie of the meet. Coming to her first Junior Olympic level meet. She was a Rock Star of course, dropping time in her 50 breast and making finals. Lulu was also able to hold a top slot in her breaststroke. While Carson was the only swimmer from SOLO able to capture a free event with a great learning experience in the 200 free.

The process of making the championship level starts just one practice at a time. We don't worry as a team about having as many swimmers make it to this level as other programs do. Our long term approach allows us to focus on the proper form and not over training young athletes. So it is fantastic to see swimmers grow and make these meets over time. Congratulations to all our outstanding swimmers!
