ESC Home Meet Info

Thanks to everyone who has already signed up for the ESC home meet this next weekend  (January 27 & 28).  We have NEW information about this meet, so please take a moment to read the following:

The college has asked that we monitor the number of spectators for our home meets.  Therefore, we will now have ALL folks enter from the side of the building (just past the sundeck), and we will be opening the cardio room upstairs for overflow seating. This means we REALLY need 2 safety marshalls; this job entails sitting by the entrance and counting folks who enter as well as checking on the locker rooms, restrooms, and cardio room from time to time.  This is a great job for a new parent (requires no training) as it allows you to easily be available to watch your kid swim.

We also need folks to help out in our Hospitality room downstairs, setting up food, cleaning up after meals, bringing water/snacks to the officials/timers on deck, and helping with award ribbons.  You definitely can watch your child swim when you help out in Hospitality—we will have a timeline close by to help you track this.

Even if you have completed your volunteer hour commitment, please consider helping out at this meet.  The number of required volunteer hours does not always reflect the need of the club to help us run a smooth meet.   If you need to sign up or switch positions, you can do this by going to the home page, finding “Winter Challenge,” and clicking on “Job Signup.”
