Pre-Season Newsplash - May 13

Practices

Pre-Season practices start this Tuesday, May 15!  Come with your cap, goggles and suit on ready to swim!!  Please note that the practice times after Memorial Day will be different due to pool availability and construction.  See “ Practice Schedule” under the “Team Info” tab for the pre-season’s complete schedule.  ALL Team pre-season practices will be held at the Louisville Rec Center Pool.  Please note pre-season practices are optional but highly recommended and absence reporting is not necessary.

Silvers @ 3:15 p.m.;  9-10’s @ 4:00 p.m.;  11-12’s @ 4:45 p.m.; 13-18’s @ 5:30 AM.

Please note that our Blue/Bronze Team practices start on Tuesday, May 29th at 5:00PM at the Louisville Rec Center.  Practice time and location may change depending on scheduling and construction. 

Note: The Rec Center staff has been gracious in working with our team during the expansion and reconstruction of the Memory Square Pool House.  PLEASE remember to gather all of your belongings and leave the facility cleaner than when we arrived. All lost and found will be donated!! 

In case of inclement weather, please call our Rain Line at (303) 952-5036 to see if your practice has been cancelled.  We will also attempt to notify you through our TeamUnify system so please make sure all of your emails and cell phone numbers for texting are in your account and verified.  Enter parent and older swimmer’s personal emails and cell phone numbers in your “Billing Account” section.  The swimmer's or parent's information should also be entered in the “Member/Athlete Profile” section.  Please fill in all of the information requested.

Volunteer Update

Thank you to ALL of our competitive swim team families for signing up for your volunteer jobs.  If you would like to double-check what you signed up for you can do that easily by selecting “MEETS/EVENTS” then “REPORTS” and then “Job Signup Report for my Accountonce you have logged into your account.  If you have a conflict with any of your shifts please let us know asap.  All families must complete 20 volunteer job points by the end of the season. 

Clothing, Towels & Team Suit

If you weren't able to pick up your clothing, swim caps and swimsuit orders at Saturday's Open House, we will distribute orders at multiple swim practices beginning on Wednesday, May 16.  Our next team clothing order cut-off date is Friday, May 18th  for a mid-June delivery.  This year we will have a third clothing order in June, dates to be announced.  All orders are done online through the Dolphins Spiritwear Store.  

If you have NOT yet purchased your Team suit please go to Colorado Swim Shop in Boulder at 2525 Arapahoe Avenue (south of McGuckins).  Please do this soon as stock is getting low in some sizes.  We ask that the first thing you do before your swimmer wears their suit is to please PUT YOUR SWIMMER'S NAME IN THE SUIT so if lost, you may get it back.  We also recommend putting your swimmer’s name on their swim fins, agility paddles (11-18’s) and Dolphin Team clothing!! 

Fundraisers

Our two restaurant fundraisers are currently being scheduled.  Look for details in the next News Blast.  We really need everyone's support at these!!   We also have our $5 reloadable Dolphins King Soopers fundraising cards available for purchase through our Dolphin Spiritwear Store.

Website

Our Team Website has a wealth of information for our families and swimmers.  Please log into your account to view specific Team Calendars, Practice and Meet Schedules, do your Meet Declarations and event requests, sign up for Stroke Clinics and Camp Make-ups, etc.  Please check it frequently and note that most of the information is only viewable to our Team Members after logging into your account. Please note that all swim meets, stroke clinics, camp make-ups and team activity events will be open to registrations/sign-ups in the next two weeks. Please look for an email with details.  Thank you for your patience while we are juggling the schedule during our displacement. 

Meet & Event Communications

You will receive a system email for all meets and events one week before the registration cut-off date.  This is an automatic email that goes out to all active members whether you have signed up already or not.  Please use these emails as a reminder to make your swimmer's declaration or double-check their previous declaration.  We apologize up front if this causes some confusion.
