Home Meet v Windsor Knolls Info

Swimmers & Families,

It’s time for our first home meet!  It is essential that we all work together to make this meet a success.  Our team alone has 130 swimmers, so it’s going to be busy!  If you see someone needing help, please step up and lend a hand.  We want to put on a positive, well-run meet.  We will be competing with Windsor Knolls at the Middletown High School pool.  Here is what you need to know for the meet:

  • Please arrive at MHS by 6:45am.
  • Volunteers should arrive earlier if necessary for meet setup.
  • Swimmers should check in right away at check-in tent.  If you are late,  check-in immediately AFTER warmups.
  • Check relay lists to see if you are swimming or are an alternate, then swimmers get ready for warm ups.  We warm up first at home meets.
  • Warm-ups are: 9-12 year olds 7:00-7:10;  13 – Older & 8-Under 7:10 – 7:20, then full team dive sprints until 7:25am.
  • Swimmers should wear their team suit or a solid blue or black suit.
  • It isn’t mandatory to wear a cap, but if you do, it MUST be a team cap.    See Michelle Baird to pick up your swim caps.
  • Officials meeting  7:35 am Check in at the IT table so that you can be recorded in Meet manager before the start of the meet.
  • Timers meeting 7:45 am
  • The meet will start promptly at 8 am.
  • Cash concessions will be available for breakfast and lunch items.
  • We will be running Meet Mobile and will not be selling programs.  You may print out the program from our team website when we get it.
  • There is rain in the forecast for Saturday.  If it’s raining, the meet will go on, so prepare to get wet.  Don’t plan on staying in the pool area, as the bleachers are open mainly to people watching their swimmers when they are up for their races.  If there is thunder, lifeguards clear the pool area for 30 minutes from the last rumble.   Don't leave, wait out the storm in your car.  When the Pool Operator gives us the all-clear to continue, notice wil be sent via TeamUnify text and email.  The meet may restart quickly.   If storms are continuous, they may cancel the meet.  The safety of our swimmers is our first priority.
  • Pool address is 200 Schoolhouse Drive, Middletown, MD.
  • We ask everyone’s help in making sure our team area and the school grounds are trash-free when we leave.
  • Don’t forget your goggles or sunscreen, and good luck!

Go Barracudas!
