Lake Linganore Summary& Week Ahead

Swimmers & Families,

Coach Holly:  What a great meet that was!  We were so close to winning it – we lost by only 27 points!  I love that we are competitive in our new Division.  More importantly, I’m glad that we are a team that has a reputation of  “instruction, encouragement and fun” as a parent recently told me.  I don’t think those two ideas are mutually exclusive.   It’s my opinion that children can thrive and succeed  in a competitive environment where they are instructed, encouraged, and have fun.   It’s such a privilege for me to be a part of such a great team.

Coach Reilly:  You all survived the heat!  So proud of how everyone did despite less than stellar conditions.  Seeing everyone do so well made the heat more bearable, that’s for sure.  Two weeks of good training until the next meet – let’s see how much stronger we can get!

Coach Kayla: I’m so proud of everyone today!  I saw so many improvements again this week at the meet.  I know it was uncomfortably warm but the kids stayed in a good mood throughout the day.  Also, I would like to thank all of the kids for showing good sportsmanship to both their own fellow teammates and to those swimming for Linganore.  It was really great to see the positive atmosphere and all of the big smiles on everyone’s faces.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Coach Lizzie:  Another great meet to end the week!!  So glad to see the kids improving even more.  I was very grateful to the kids that dumped water on me, because it was so hot!!!   Have a great 4th of July!
