BASS Families,

It’s time for the 2^nd Annual BASS Candy Corn Fun Meet!  This meet will be held at Woodberry Forest School on Friday October 5, 2018 from 6pm – 830pm and is open to ALL BASS SWIMMERS!  The deadline for sign ups are 10/1/2018. This is a team building event, and there is no cost to swimmers.

This meet is for BASS swimmers only; we will have races, prizes, pizza and drinks!

Note: we will send out a volunteer sign up email soon so be on the lookout for that!

Each swimmer may enter a MAXIMUM of 2 events!

Here is what we need you to do to sign up for the meet:

To sign up for this meet:

1. Log into your account.
2. At the bottom of the Home page, locate the tab labeled “Meets”.
3. Click the “Edit Commitment button to the left of the “Candy Corn Fun Meet – Team Building” meet title.
4. For EACH swimmer you are registering for this meet:
   1. Click their name under the “Click on Member Name to declare for this Event” section.
   2. In the Declaration drop down, select “Yes, please sign <Name> up for this event.”
   3. Meet information will appear.
   4. Scroll down until you see the meet events
   5. Check the box for each event in which you want to enter your swimmer. NOTE: Your swimmer may enter UP TO 2 events. Your swimmer can swim in FEWER than 2 events, but they cannot swim in MORE THAN 2 events. When you click the check box, the entry time will highlight.  Don’t worry if there are NTs in there. Coaches will give us a coaches’ time to enter.
   6. When your swimmer has selected the events in which they want to swim, click the Save Changes button at the bottom right of the form.  You will return to the meet registration page.  Your swimmer will be “Committed” and you will see the events entered.
   7. You may change your entries prior to the entry date.  Follow steps a-f.
   8. If you have multiple swimmers, perform steps a-f for EACH swimmer attending the meet.
5. If your swimmer is NOT attending the meet:
   1. Click their name under the “Click on Member Name to declare for this event” section.
   2. In the Declaration drop down, select “No, thanks, <Name> will NOT attend this event.”
   3. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the form. You will return to the meet registration page. Your swimmer will be “Declined”.

We had so much fun last year, and can’t wait to have even more fun this year – hope you can make it!

Suits for Swim Practice - it is recommended that your child NOT wear their competion suit or BASS Cap for practice.  Ask Gary at Sportfair for practice suit sales.

Practice goal for the week is to stretch! With just 5-10 minutes of stretching per day you can speed up recovery time and help prevent injuries.
