Submit Your Feedback on the New

Rengstorff Park Aquatic Center

As you may have heard, the city of Mountain View is completely replacing Rengstorff Pool, and city staff is  asking for community feedback as they develop plans for the new Aquatic Center.

This is fantastic news for LAMVAC, and it's a great opportunity to get improvements that club coaches and swimmers have been wanting for some time. If you can participate in the planning process, it would be great for the club.

Planning Workshop No. 3

Dec. 6, 7:00 p.m.

at the Mountain View Senior Center

266 Escuela Ave.

Mountain View

The more team representation LAMVAC has, the better!

Another great way to participate is to visit the planning website:

There you'll find a link to the conceptual design, as well as a link to submit feedback.

Please submit your thoughts!

Here are some things the coaches would like to see incorporated into a new aquatics facility:
  1. A diving end that is at least 5 feet deep
  2. 8-10 lanes
  3. Markings at 5 meters/yards,15 meters/yards and halfway
  4. Good above-pool lighting
  5. Big, deep gutters, as at Eagle Pool
  6. Lane widths at least as wide as Eagle Pool’s
  7. A 50-by-25-meter pool
  8. A bulkhead
  9. Ample pool deck space
  10. Bleachers for spectators
  11. An outdoor pool
  12. No diving boards
  13. Well-designed locker rooms
  14. LED Video Display/Scoreboard
A new aquatics center could give the team more flexibility for practices and hosting meets.

Please take the time to provide feedback and come to the planning meetings if you are able!
