Swimmers & Families,
Congratulations on hosting a successful Home swim meet! Thank you to all the parent volunteers who worked hard and made it happen for the team - you did a great job. We won our first scored meet of the season 369 to 251. I was very pleased to see the swimmers do some of the things we worked on in practice during their races. We had lots of personal best times. I look forward to a full week of practices, because we have a lot more work to do. I think we will swim even better next weekend!
Coach Kayla: Great Home meet everyone! Much warmer than last week. Can’t wait to see everyone next week so we can keep working on strokes. See you Monday!
Coach Lizzie: This week’s meet went great! Once again I’m so proud of kids for swimming their first races and doing so well! Can’t wait for the first full week of morning practices at Braddock!
Coach Josh: Great job yesterday, you all crushed it! We worked hard all week long and it paid off with your amazing swims! Let’s keep up our hard work and bring that same intensity throughout the season and show everyone who the Barracudas are! Let’s go Braddock!
Coach Sadie: Super proud of everyone who swam this week. Everyone did a fantastic job and absolutely killed it. I hope everyone got some good rest after the meet and stayed warm.

THE WEEK AHEAD
* EVENING PRACTICES start Monday. We have evening practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, from 8:15 – 9pm. I ask that you sign up in advance so I can plan to have enough coaches based on the number of attendees I expect for the practices. All you have to do is either tell me at practice, text me at (301) 471-7395 or email me at [email protected] that you intend to come at night. These practices are meant for swimmers who must miss the morning practices because of camps or other obligations. It’s the same workout as in the morning, only shorter.
* TEAM SPIRIT EVENT Thursday 7:00 – 8:30pm we will have our annual Kickball and Nail Polish night. All swimmers are invited to come play kickball and/or paint your fingernails. There will be snacks, but bring water because it’s expected to be hot! Wear shoes for kickball and bring your funkiest nail polish to share. See you Thursday!
* TEAM PICTURES Friday morning. 12-Under individual photos will be at 8am. Full team photo at 9am, then 13-Older individual photos following the team picture. There will not be any swimming on Friday. Wear your team swimsuit or solid blue or black suit.
