Grand Junction Recap

Our Swimmers have had a busy few weeks!  We had a terrific meet in Grand Junction.  It was rewarding to see our relentless work on the details pay off in such dramatic fashion.  Our starts, streamline under-waters, breakouts, turns, and finishes are improving.  The swimmers are learning to control their speed, learning their gears and how/when to use them. We dropped so much time as a group; every swimmer had multiple best times! We won the close races, although one athlete finished his race so hard that he jammed his finger.  We had an athlete qualify for Jr. Nationals!  There were many smiles and laughs.  It was just days earlier that the Gold group finished a high altitude training camp.  They swam 2 - two hours practices, plus hiked for an hour and a half in between the swim workouts (for 4 days).   We are tiered, but we are tough!  Lets keep it going!!
