Weekly Newsletter 7/22/2019

Good morning families!

We are now in our last week of practice and JSL champs is this Friday and Saturday (26th-27th)! I'm going to try and include all of the Champs information that you will need in this email. There is a lot of info to cover but I will try and keep it as short as possible!

This is the parent memo for champs:

That memo should answer a lot of questions you may have about the meet about parking, things to bring, pool/facility rules, addresses, concessions ect... It's only 8 pages so please read it over so you are informed about the meet.

The sessions will run as follows

Session 1: 6 & U and 7-8 Friday AM. Warm ups at 10:05, arrive at 9:30.

Session 2: 13 & O Friday PM.           Warm ups at aprox 2:15, arrive at 1:30.

Session 3: 9-10 Saturday AM.           Warm ups at 8:25, arrive at 7:55

Session 4: 11-12 Saturday PM.          Warm ups at aprox 12:15, arrive at 11:30.

Wrist bands are required for all swimmers to be allowed on deck and are color coded for each session. We will be passing them out on Thursday morning/afternoon at practice. They will have event numbers, heat, and lanes written on them in sharpie. Please be careful to keep them on as there is a VERY limited number of replacement bands to hand out if they break.

Let's talk relays! Relays have been kept fairly simple this year, medley relays take place early in the sessions and free relays take place after all of the individual events. Because of this it's very important to check in with one of the coaches to see if one of your swimmers is in a relay BEFORE you leave for the day!

There is no dual meet this week on Wednesday so practice will run Monday-Thursday AM and PM. Friday there is no practice at all because of champs.
