A Welcome Message from Head Coach

Good Morning Whitehorse Glacier Bears Families!

We have a week to go before entering the pool for 2019-2020 season and I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to a new adventure and that I am looking forward to meet you and work with all swimmers, coaches and families.

I have been in the world of swimming for 26 years, including 4 as a competitive swimmer. Many things I have been able to experience as a coach during this time, including being part of national teams at Olympic Games and Wolrd Championships, as well as being able to develop many national and provincial qualifiers, finalist and medalist, as well as having the opportunity to graduate swimmers to university programs. With that being said, it will be my goal to bring the best of me as your new Head Coach for this season and moving forward.

So far my time here in Whitehorse (2 weeks) have been fantastic, not only thanks to the beautful city that Whitehorse is, but mostly thanks to the warm welcome I have recieved from Board members and the coaches i have had the opportunity to meet. After 8 days of driving for over 5,500 km, I feel like I arrived home.

For now, I guess the most important thing I want to say is: I am very excited to start a new journey with all of you. It is going to be full of new lessons learned, fun times, hard work, team effort and ambitious goals. We can accomplish everything we want if we work together and support each other, and that's what this whole year is going to be about!.

T-1 week, get ready, it is going to be EPIC!
