Covid-19 Notification and Temporary Pool Closure
LAMVAC Swimmers and Parents
We are notifying you that we have had a swimmer test positive for COVID-19 on our team. We have taken steps to contact those who may have been in contact with the swimmer. Out of an abundance of caution and based on physician recommendations, we are not allowing those swimmers at the pool until a sufficient amount of time in quarantine – 14 days.
The City of Mountain View is temporarily shutting the pool down for deep cleaning. According to them, the pool should be open again sometime next week. We will inform everybody once we have a definite day.
We want to take this opportunity to remind you of our policies. People showing any symptoms should not come to the pool. People who have been exposed to a person who tests positive should not come to the pool. We have very strong social distancing policies in place where swimmers and staff wear masks, stay six feet apart, start on opposite ends of the pool, no use of changing area except for toilets and sinks, and swimmers leave and enter in separate gates so as to minimize interactions. We feel confident that our procedures will limit the spread of COVID-19.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate the challenges associated with this pandemic. We love seeing all of you at the pool. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Coach Jose.
