Aquazot Swimmers Post Personal Bests at LA Grand Prix

The Senior 2 and 3 Groups traveled to the McDonald’s Swim Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern California to participate in the Los Angeles Grand Prix on Saturday and Sunday, July 10th and 11th.   While most swimmers have yet to taper for the late summer meets, we still had many athletes post Personal Bests (PB) times.

Corey Okubo, coming off a spectacular June Age Group Invitational, continued his hot swimming and lowered his Team Record time in the 200 IM, finishing in a blistering 2:12.12.  Corey also had PB times in 200 Breast and 100 Back.  Other boys with PB times included Logan Redondo (200 Free and 200 IM), Cameron Price (200 Breast and 200 IM), Justin Kwong (50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Back), Jared Namba (400 IM), and Joshua Smith (200 IM).

On the girls side, we also had many PB times.  Athletes posting new Personal Bests included Ellen Naruse (200 IM), Casey Mims (200 Breast), Molly Jubas (400 Free), Maggie Hofstadter (100 Back), and Brynne Wong (100 Breast).

Look for more PB and Team Record times at the upcoming Sectional, Jr. Olympic and Jr. and Sr. National meets!
