Halfway There!

Dear Swimmers & Families,

It’s hard to believe, but we are officially halfway through our season!  This past week it was fun seeing everyone outside of the pool at our water fun night in the park.  A good time was had by all!  It was also nice seeing swimmers work hard and show improved times in their races on Friday.  Results are posted in the team case, and there is an asterix next to any improved time.  Great work, swimmers.  Keep it up!

Thanks to Jeff Long for taking a unique team picture with his drone.  You will see it soon!

Special thanks to Abbraccio Gelato for their generous donation of free gelatos for heat winners.  Please show your support for the businesses that are supporting us.

Swimmers of the Week for June 28 – July 9 are:

8-Under Layla Griffin

9-10        Lennox Ciucci

11-12      Leah Remsburg

13-14      Harry Wornom

15-18      Tobias Nitz

Congratulations, Swimmers!

WEATHER POLICY:  If it’s raining, there will be practice as long as the lifeguard can see the main drain on the bottom of the pool.  If there is thunder within 15 minutes of practice time, it will be cancelled.  If thunder occurs during practice, we are required to leave the pool deck.  If you think it may storm, for safety please be at the ready to quickly pick your swimmer up from the pool.

  • Tuesday, July 13 5:00 – 9:00  Main Cup fundraiser
  • Sign up for July 24 Intrasquad Meet online
  • Wednesday, July 21 There will be NO NIGHT PRACTICE.  Swimmers will have High School Water Polo Night instead.  If you are in High School or an incoming freshman, come for a fun night of water polo 8:15 – 9:00.  See you there!

An important reminder: On Tuesdays  * * EVERYONE MUST STAY IN THEIR CARS UNTIL 9:00am. * *   No swimmers are allowed on the playground, or standing by the doors, or hanging out next to their cars.  Please cooperate on this, as the BHCA could cancel our Tuesday practice altogether if we don’t comply with their mowing safety protocols.

Let’s have a great second half of our season, Swimmers!

Go Barracudas!
