Biter-Mundt and Bard Recently Recognized

Chardonnay Biter-Mundt was recognized on the Mountain West Conference’s All-Academic team for women’s swimming at the University of Utah for the spring semester.

Biter-Mundt was a freshman for Utah last year. She swam for the Napa Valley Swim Team and Vintage High.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

USC’s Presley Bard finished fifth in the women’s 100-meter backstroke (1:00.76) and was seventh in the “B” final of the 50 free (26.04) at the 2010 U.S. Summer Nationals, which were held at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center last week in Irvine, Calif.

Bard is a Napa resident who also swam on the fourth-place 4x100 medley relay team for the Concord Terrapins.

The top finishers qualify to represent the U.S. at the Pan Pacific Championships, scheduled for Aug. 18-22, also at the Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
